What’s New with YNOT’s Chat Board?
While restructuring YNOT we’ve made some changes to the industry famous YNOT Chat Boards as well.
The structure of the chat boards has been improved to make it an even more valuable daily resource for YNOT members.
We’ve also added tons of new features that allow you to get the most from YNOT’s Chat boards.
Now they’re an even better tool for growing your adult business.
Many of the changes are a direct result of suggestions from our members. We think you’re going to love them.

Here’s the rundown on the changes...
|
|
|
General Board:
Same professional atmosphere as before except it will now catch the overflow from the boards that were closed.
We will still be enforcing a strict no spam policy.
|
|
|
Newbie Hangout:
Remains a key source for information for new webmasters and a great way to ease into the YNOT community.
|
|
|
Legal Eagle:
The same great Legal board just renamed.
|
|
|
Tech Talk:
Tech board renamed
|
|
|
G.L.B.T. Community:
Was the Gay board, now expanded to include; Gay, Lesbian, bi-sexual and transsexual topics.

|
|
YNOT Bob’s Lounge:
A brand new board. The place for the non-business *fun* type threads, picture posts, joke posts, etc.
|
|
|
Announcements:
To ensure that your important announcements get the attention they deserve, we ask that you submit true announcements and press releases via the Submit Press Release feature so that they can be published on the YNOT home page.
|
|
|
Traffic:
Generating more traffic is a topic important to all adult webmasters so we now keep all general traffic related conversations on the General board.
Note: Request for links that were in the monthly spam thread should now use the "Swap Traffic" section of YNOT Classifieds.

|
Amateur:
With so many amateur sites using other types of sites to promote themselves, we now keep general amateur related conversations on the General board.
|
|
|
YKZ:
The game board was closed due to inactivity.
|
|
|
Signatures
Now you get extra exposure each time you post with message signatures.
Create the signature in your profile and you can easily add it automatically to every post you make.
Note: Signatures at YNOT may NOT be sold. See Chat Board FAQ’s for specific guidelines.

Full Search Feature:
One of our most popular requests, we’ve now added a way to dig through old threads to find just what you’re looking for.
|
|
|
# of Views:
Now you can see how many times a thread has been viewed.
|
|
|
Quote Post:
Now you can quote other posts in your replies. Simply click the "Reply with Quote" button on the post you want to quote.
|
|
|
Post Since Last Visit:
We’ve made it easier to see what you’ve missed since your last visit. You can click on the "Posts since last visit" tab on the top of the chat board pages.
|
|
|
Your Posts:
Ever wanted to find a post you made but forgotten which board you posted to? Now it’s easy to locate them by just clicking on the "Your Posts" tab to see a complete list of the posts you’ve made.
|
|
|
Print and Email:
We'va also added easy controls for Printer Friendly page or to Email a Friend to each post.
|
|
|

What’s New with YNOT’s User Profiles?
If you are a registered member, Clicking on the "Edit My Profile" link will take you to your YNOT account’s control panel.
From your account control panel you will have the option to change a number of items that relate to the operation of your YNOT account.
We have added several new features that are designed to help you communicate and network with other adult industry professionals.

|
Private Messaging:
With all the email spam filters in place these days, we’ve made it easier than ever to privately contact someone posting at YNOT.
With private messages, nothing is sent to your email address.
Whenever you drop by YNOT, you’ll find your very own private message mailbox.
Sending a private message to another member is as easy as clicking a button which is displayed with each message posted.
Note: Please do not abuse this feature by spamming your fellow YNOT Members.
Instant Message Support:
YNOT has made it easier for our members to network and communicate.
If you choose to include your Instant Messenger (IM) contact info in your YNOT user profile then other YNOT members can instant message you with the click of a button. Supported
IM systems include: ICQ, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger.
Time Zone Offset:
Select your desired Time Zone Offset and YNOT will adjust all time displays to match your local time.
Avatars:
The guidelines regarding "chat board avatars" have not changed.
Your avatar graphic needs to be 75x75, no larger than 3k, and must not contain any nudity or animations.
In the interest of community YNOT prefers that your avatar graphic include a picture of your face; this is only a preference, not a requirement.

An in-depth spotlight profile and a review of industry affiliate program. This comprehensive guide presents all pertinent information on the program in a detailed yet easy to follow category breakdown: showcasing up to 6 of top/new paysites, available programs, features, marketing tools, support information and a short review written by one of the site editors.

Private Messaging:
Whenever you drop by YNOT, you’ll find your very own private message mailbox. With private messages, nothing is sent to your email address. You’ll find links to Private Messaging links on pages throughout the New YNOT.

News in Daily Format:
Now Industry News items are updated daily so there's no waiting a week for the latest news.
|
|
|
Classifieds Now Totally Free:
As a renewed introduction to the YNOT Classified Ads, we've waived the fees for the time being. Yes, that means for now, classifieds are free.

YNOT Now Available in Special Formats:
PDA Version: Much of YNOT is now available in a format designed to fit your PDA RSS Feed: News, chat and editorials is also available in a convenient RSS Feed

|
Webmaster Directory:
It’s now easier than ever to contact fellow webmasters. Each listing now carries a link to IM or send a Private Message to their YNOT account.

Submit Menu:
We’ve made it easier than ever to submit to various sections of YNOT. At the top of every page (right beside the Member Menu) you'll find a handy menu for submitting your News Story, Article/Editorial, Press Release, Classified Ad (now free), Service Directory Listing, Industry Event or even your Suggestions for making YNOT better.
