Need new site TOS, PP, etc

Of course all the stuff that comes up when I look for a TOS generator is 'no adult content' bunch of sites cluttered all over my screen and I even Googled "how to create an adult content terms of service page" and yes I unchecked adult restriction or whatever it's called...in my Google advanced search settings to allow all content to show up so it would not censor anything. It will take for-e-ver to find a generic adult content TOS, entry page/script, and PP. I'm using Wordpress and tried looking for it in the plugins too.

For people like me who know more how-to on the non-adult content side, it would be very helpful to post such help here in the adult side of websites. Yea I could go steal some and modify them, but would rather find out if a good free generator for a startup, just to please the legal Gods is out there. Below is my work-in-progress site. Not much there yet.

    Thanks so much,
    Laura

I don't see how rewriting a friend's TOS so that it's relevant to what you're doing would be significantly different than using a generator. Either way, it's still not mainly text written by you. IANAL, but I'm not aware of any problems inherent to either approach. Years ago, I used to purposely write keyword-rich TOS pages, but never saw any indication that Google ever indexed them.

Wouldn't it be best for you to have your attorney write up your TOS for you?

    attorney?

If I had an attorney I would not be here. Obviously I do not have any money for one.

I just had a look at your site, and I'm not even sure that you need a 2257 for that. You have no adult images. What do you want a TOS document for? If it's for spider food, like I said, Google doesn't seem all that interested in TOS pages.

that is because it is still new

I have a few adult content items I'm working on placing onto the site. I ended up using the Sextronix.com TOS and PP by pointing to them for now. I was just trying to get an idea of what someone with a new site might use if they are new to creating adult content sites, and of course do not have a lawyer. Now later when a site is successful then affording a lawyer is an option.

My site is new right now. I'm looking at creating a membership site and now going to look for some items to help set that up better.

Thanks so much for everyone's help with my question. I appreciate it very much.

Ah the big one.. Title 18 USCode section 2257. It is the US Record Keeping Requirments law.

    Read at : http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2257

Nut shell. when you produce porn you have to record information about the production and make it available for inspection by the US Attorney General. Records are signed model contract, models gov issued photo ID, second gov issued supporting ID with some requirments for specific information. It's outlined in the link above, which also outlines the compliancy statement requirments for your web pages.. Which you already have done.

ok thx mass-dad Now that I realize what it is, I know it is on my site from sextronix.com who provided it. I actually point to theirs which is what they said to do, and fine with me. I did make some progress with it today and added it to a directory listing that I found in this forum. Will keep doing more after getting some affiliate stuff on it, and add it to more directories.

Thanks everyone for your help. This is a great forum. Makes me feel much better knowing I can find answers or ask questions without being negatively judged due to the content. Love that

Any idea if it's a similar law in Canada?

It's a US law.. The vast majority of content producers also sell to clients in the US. If you are going to sell to US based businesses or even to US based customers you will need to collect 2257 documentation for those sales. IE, your content is worthless to me if I don't get the 2257 docs with it. I can't use it. So yes, as you shoot collect it and keep the records.

Yeah. This has been done to death, but, unless you're maybe an Iranian selling Iranian-produced content to other Iranians (in which case you've got a whole different set of legal problems), you may as well just behave as though 2257 applies to you even though it doesn't. Reason being that, sooner or later, you're gonna want to interact with, promote, or do business with entities within the US, who will avoid you like the plague if you don't provide the links. So just include them at the bottom like everyone else does regardless of where you live (unless you're that Iranian guy).
