It's power to the people at this year's annual Grabby Erotic Gay Video Awards. Gay Chicago Magazine and maleflixxx.tv announced today that they would introduce a new award category at this year's awards show to be held on May 28. The Maleflixxx People's Choice Award will be presented for the first time and awarded to the gay video selected by fans as their choice for best video of the year.
The Grabby Awards are organized by Gay Chicago Magazine and have established a strong reputation within the gay adult industry. They are highly recognized as a measure and celebration of success.
Each year, the Grabby Awards recognize a wide range of categories including; Best Gay Video, Best All Sex Video, Best Comedy, Best Director, Best Screen Play, Best Actor, and many more. An award actually voted for by fans has been missing from the awards show. That will change this year, as maleflixxx.tv and its international network of sites will round out the ceremony with the first ever presentation of the Maleflixxx People’s Choice Award.

Fans will be able to log on to maleflixxx.tv or any one of its affiliated sites and view films nominated for the new award. Eric Johnson, President of Sureflix Digital Distribution, operators of maleflixxx.tv says, "At maleflixxx.tv we have always put the customer first and we want to give fans of gay erotic videos a direct say in who wins this award."
Nominated titles will be available for viewing in an online Grabby Awards Viewing Room, allowing fans to watch the movies before casting their ballot. As always on the maleflixxx.tv network, viewers will be able to rent either individual scenes or the entire movie. The Grabby Awards Viewing Room will be open for 30 days, from April 27th to May 25th, 2005. When the voting period ends, the votes will be tallied and the winning title chosen. That winning title will be awarded the Maleflixxx People’s Choice Award at the 2005 Grabby Awards show in Chicago on May 28th, 2005.
As an added bonus for fans, past Grabby winning videos on maleflixxx.tv and its network will be available at 25% off the regular price in honor of the new award. The nominees will be chosen through a review of films that consistently ranked in the Top Ten list on the maleflixxx.tv network during 2004.
Nominees for the Maleflixxx People’s Choice Award will be announced in early April.
