A respectful hello |
 |
 |
Greetings,
I would like to introduce myself. Firstly I really like the level of membership on this forum. A lot of very good posts and loads of really rich threads full of information. Lots of questions answered just by reading you chat. Thanks.
I've been running e-commerce (export) sites in asia since 2005 and recently have been focusing a lot more of my attention on making revenue through 'advertising'. Such as the google / yahoo programme. That's on the commercial sales front.
Since we already have IT partners in India supporting our existing online business we have the work-force required to manage submissions and marketing as well as page generation / updates and graphic design elements.
Content wise we have a lot of our own produced (video/photo) bizarre / fetish & Japanese content as well as quite a lot of purchased (docs & all) generic sets and genre specific sets. Self production continues and we are pretty good about tayloring content to sponsor type or 'mark' as our developers amusingly call it.
We're thinking of targeting both western and Japanese traffic. There's a lot of ideas on our drawing board and we have a fairly good budget and 'extremely' gifted IT/webdev team... It's really just a case of focusing our time and effort in the right direction.
Slowly slowly catchy the monkey. we're ready for that.
Do you have advice based on the (farily vague) information provided? I really am getting a lot form just reading this forum and site. I simply admire the wealth of knowledge here.
Stay well and be well.
Ren

Sounds like you have content, developers and infrastructure. What you don't seem to have is traffic. In that case, I would suggest putting all of your effort to one target at a time.
Traffic is more art than science. Doubling your effort doesn't result in double results. The only reason I point this out is that if you start with both Western and Japanese targets, there will be a tendency to jump back and forth depending on which one seems to be doing better. So, stick with one market until you really understand how to increase traffic.
Then realize that what you learn about western traffic might not transfer to Japanese traffic. (I have never dealt with the Japanese market, so that's just a guess on my part.)
Best of luck, and welcome to YNOT!

It's been a long time since anyone has been respectful so HELLO Ren! Welcome to Ynot and stay a while. Don't forget to meet the newbie quota of jokes you must post in the "Joke for Mass Dad" thread.

UncleGordie, Thank you for taking the time to welcome me and reply with some very good advice.
Surely Traffic Sources is the make or break of it all ?! There are so many different opinions about how to and where to get the traffic ball rolling there's a lot to take in. If you have time to offer your opinion and suggestions on startup traffic please do let me know.
I can accept your opinion on focusing on one stream of traffic (En or JP). one of the Plans for the JP stuff is to work with perhaps the BYO tours and translate and keywordify in Japanese the pages. However we will work on one mountain at a time. Thanks
Here's a short list of some of the content type we have:
Closeup - Pussy / Anal / Toys & Objects
Closeup gay - Penis & Toys
Bondage - Rope / Struggle / Flogging / Spanking
Lesbian Bondage - Masked, gagged and nasty Lesbian (asian - Euro mix)
Masturbation - Studio and faux-Hidden cam & public
POV - Various genre
We've not produced any pages yet (as the pages really need to be tailored to the sponsor's pay styles - case by case, non?) however are looking at:
- (link site watermarked) Streaming clips of own content
- Use of sponsor content
- Use of purchased content
I'm very interested to hear some constructive and realistic advice on getting traffic started and any other suggestions.
Thank you and regards,
Ren
