Video gallery/archive plugins for WordPress? |

I'm in the process of converting Deltaofvenus.com to a customized WordPress platform. Started as an experiment to get under the hood a bit and see if WP was a decent option for a subscription site (albeit a relatively small & simple one). But if things go well I'll stick with it.
My skills are fairly basic but enough to tinker around, so I'm limited to modifying existing plugins and themes to suit my needs.
But I've been having a hard time finding any plugins specifically for video galleries. There are many that handle images very well, and several that embed YouTube & other videos sourced around the net. But nothing to dynamically sort/manage a large amount of videos hosted on my own site.
All I really want are an array of thumbnails and a description field (tags would be nice also) that link directly to the associated video file. You'd think this would be available somewhere, but no luck in my search so far...
Any WP gurus know of a plugin or mod that can do this?
I'm leaning towards doing a hack of NextGen Gallery that should work, but it ain't going to be elegant.

I'm not certain for what you're trying to do WP is the best option, or even worth the experiment. However if you've searched everything you may have see this YouTube style widget which looks as if it may offer you an option, albeit it temproray.
Another option is to link to an external page with the video galleries...
What format do you want to display your video's?

My vids are currently in Quicktime, will probably be offering a flash option down the road in 2010.
What you think the main WP drawbacks are for a small paysite?

First off, there's no such thing as a small paysite, a paysite is only as good as it's next update. My concern would be from a security standpoint, and making certain the database could handle the amount of content you'd be loading.
If you haven't checked already, there is a adult WP version that may suit your needs, I think it's adultsitecms[dot]com. It's not expensive and the developers are hands on...

Thanks for the feedback guys!
I put together a solution by creating a NextGen Gallery template that links directly from a pre-made thumbnail to the movie file, along with additional custom text fields to enter movie descriptions, details, etc. This is all displayed/sorted in a clean 2-column video gallery. Will be adding category & tag searches at some point.
I've checked out AdultSiteCMS, they have some interesting features and it's great they've brought what looks like an effective *low-cost* CMS solution to the table. But they also encrypt their custom features/scripts, whereas I want full control and the option to tinker...
Will be checking out Femdombride, if anyone else has experience with WP paysites please feel free to post.
