SexToys.com Launches ‘Toys for Ta Tas’ to Benefit Breast Cancer Research
YNOT – In honor of the 25th-annual National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the U.S., Philadelphia-based e-tailer SexToys.com has launched a new campaign to raise funds for breast cancer education and research. The first in what the company expects to become an annual tradition, “Toys for Ta Tas” will donate $1 from each purchase during October to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a Dallas-based nonprofit foundation dedicated to education and research about causes and treatment and the search for a cure for breast cancer.
“The goal is to provide more than a great reason to purchase toys, or just money for research,” said SexToys.com Director of Content Bill Turner. “SexToys.com will also dedicate space in its educational platforms to address prevention and detection of breast cancer.
“We’re known for our commitment to providing products for sexual health and wellbeing, but we also want to demonstrate a commitment to help with a serious health issue that affects the lives of many of our customers: breast cancer.”
Since its founding in 1982, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has provided more than $1.5 billion in funding for breast cancer research and prevention worldwide. The foundation hopes to add another $1 billion in funding for breast cancer research by 2017.
“This is a great opportunity for us to partner with our customers to help a cause that affects all of us,” Turner said. “And it’s a great opportunity for consumers to use their purchasing power for good, as well. Our combined efforts will raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and detection and help people who need the cure.”
SexToys.com will count purchases made Oct. 1-31.
